only a minor injury but a pain in the arse!
« on: March 03, 2006, 23:06:37 PM »

heya,

I've had bad back problems for over a month now, didn't hurt my back while biking, it was during a rugby match, i twisted my pelvis slightly (says the physio) but they said tonight that my pelvis was almost normal again but im still not able to do any biking for a couple more weeks  Angry  :'(

before that i had almost 2 months of quite bad illness so ive done hardly any biking only a bit before i did my back in. and also my bikes quite new so ive hardly got to ride it, it's so anoying, anyway i hope my back will be better soon....

anyone else suffered from back problems? anything you've done to help get rid of the pains etc.....

not a back problem but a hip problem, three lots pf physio havnt done a thing, been told various reasons, bursitus, femur sitting slighty at an angle in the hip socket, can only ride for so long and i have to stop coz of the pain.

stood up to a day at inners but paid for it after, couldnt walk or put weight on it for a few days after.

still pretty bad now, although i still went out and try to get out as much as possible so i suppose its my own fault Roll Eyes

that sounds pretty bad, how long have you had your back/hip problem?  It's probably better if i do no biking until its completely better i guess?  I've seen the physio 4 times now and they say i might have to go and see my GP as it's not getting better at the physio   Embarrassed  :'(  Sad

well it started out with knee problems but that in turn affected my hip, been like that about 3 years or so now

yeah said the same to me, i was told if ultra-sound didnt work it would be steroid injections in my hip, but thats never materialised  Embarrassed

Yup, I do and its the reason I had to give up DH / DJ.

No idea how I done it. (I wasn't biking at the time) Still not right now (about 6 months later).

Hope yours mends soon and you can get out biking on your new bike.

A couple of chiropractor sessions sorted mine out for a while, it's gradually creeping back but that's because i'm riding more bmx again.
