fractured knee

right
basicly, crashed on sunday (19th) in my practice run at aston on the black run... didnt think it was too bad lol was pretty swollen, so i still decided to race.... it hurt after my 2nd run like mad.... but still came 5th with a 1.42  Grin
was at school during the week.... knee was pretty bad, so today i decided to go to hospital get it checked out
FRACTURED knee !! a full leg cast !! sucks like mad
pics below, 1st one was taken monday night (yer i know, i got big legs lol), 2nd is today with the cast on
 Sad so looks like im out for a while, and cant race rugog farm  :'(

Nice one colver. Was the full leg cast really necessary?
My head got within 20cm of being run over yesterday but I reckon the fractured knee is worse. Good luck with the recovery and get better soon.

lol thats what i thought, its my knee not my whole leg !! i thought when they said a cast, it was just gona be about 15inches long and just cover my knee.... not a whole bloody thing, makes moving around bloody dificult  Angry and i almost spanked it in the hospital on my new cruches  Grin

colver, thats what i did a few years ago. the full cast is necesary as they have to keep it dead still and beacuse you have muscles/tendons/ligaments for your ankle around your knee, they lock that to

(you have fat legs!)

ah, unlucky colver sorry for saying it a bruise on race day and you'll be fine lol. you'll be out a lot longer than you think because depending on how long you have a cast on you'll get muscle wastage which takes ages to rebuild back up.

I didnt even realized you'd crashed colver lol thought you'd given it a knock before the race, I obviously wasnt paying attention that day. Looks nasty though, shame you wont be racing Rugog but get well soon.

i did something similar to you. my knee was really swollen and looked like yours but obviously wasnt as bad. good luck on the recovery though.

im going back to hospital on tuesday, so ill know more then... hopefuly the cast will be off lol as it wasnt that bad'a facture, but who know's  Roll Eyes
