« on: May 01, 2006, 19:27:20 PM »

Who uses them?

Which one do you use?

Do you find them useful?

What's the cheapest okish light meter out there?

Thanks.

I have only used them in the studio, which is what they are best for in my opinion. Can't remember what model but it's a Minolta that has Cord, Ambient and Flash modes.

As for useful, they are for film so you know you are getting the right exposure, but for digital I'm not so sure because you can just check the back of the camera?

Well i was thinking it'll make things easier and when i get pw's prvided i get a compatable one they will link together so as to always get the right flash exposure etc.

I know a few people who use them with dslr's, and you can't always tell if the exposure is correct on the backscreen i don't think.

True about the screen on the back, I've never really had a problem with mine but some other cameras may be harder to see.
