cheap digital camera/camcorder

hey guys,

me and a friend are thinking of buying a digital camera to record some riding. i know we'd be best of with using a camcorder (as its for filming) but we only have 100 to spend on it. i've been looking at this:

although i'm not sure if for that price the quality will be ok, have you guys got anyother suggestions around that price mark? i knwo you generally need to spend a lot more to get a decent one but i don't like the idae of taking 300 worth of fragile equipment with me.

nah mate dont touch vivitar, crap is all i'm saying, i work at argos and the amount of them we get back damaged is silly, most just have alot of technical faults with them

best bet would be to go second hand or wait till end of july time coz the new catalogue is out then so alot of old stock goes down in price

just some inside advice there  Wink

we sell alot of olympus camera's dont seem to have many problems with them, fairly cheap aswell

although, probably best looking second hand on here, or ebay, you'll get more for your money

look on jessops second hand website, you can only search by make / model number so you need to find some 200 to 300 quid camcorders from last years range and search the website for those.  the website covers all their shops nationwide and they will send the one you choose to your local branch.  you should get a 12 month warrantee for it as well.   I got a 400 quid sony camcorder 1 year old for 160 quid, so if you look for 200 to 300 quid models you should get them around 100 quid
