I know you must get sick of these threads, but I am looking for some advice please :-

Am after a new camera for mostly biking use, I will be taking it to DH races but also carrying it with me on xc rides, what would you recommend for good quality hi res action pictures but can also be carried without to much hassle?  DSLR? or other?  Budget IRO 300.00
