website for hosting helmet camfootage
« on: June 10, 2006, 17:51:06 PM »

We're off to Morzine in a month and have a helmet cam.  i need to set up a website to act as a storage area for the footage so that all the group can get access to the footage.

any experience on good websites to use, how much they cost, how to edit the footage etc?

cheers

edit the footage in a video editing package, then upload the files to a video host site, there are loads, google 'video host'

do you subscribe to a broadband service. if you do, you may be entitled to some free web space on the host server.  I have built a site http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/teammingeater
using my free space on tiscali. Smiley

cheers for the info guys,

have wanadoo / orange broadband so will see if i can get some web space.  Sounds a good idea.

Wasn't totally clear in 1st post, I'm not looking to upload it while i'm out there as it will all be on miniDV tapes, but to allow all mates to access footage easily a web based hosting system would be ideal.
