I've recently been diagnosed with a viral infection. And it sucks! Anyone know how i can ease it, 'cause i'm starting to become immune to paracetamol and ibuprofen.

you just gotta try and get on as best you can to get it out of your system, you're on medication from the docs then?

No. NHS Direct said there was no point going docs. I wish i had done 'cause they'd give me antibiotics and it'd be gone by monday.

I'm just drinking ice water and eating nothing but soup... Smiley Might lose some weight Smiley

Hot water and lemon is meant to be really good for flushing out your system when you have glandula fever etc, best to get some antibiotics aswell though.

Echinacia is really good for building up and maintaining your immunity to stuff like that aswell, its more prevention than cure though.

you do realise visus's aren't affected by antibiotics.......as they aren't actually living, they're just a protien coat with a strand of DNA in it, which takes over your body cells and uses it your cell to re-produce....

if you were given antibiotics that was so stupid as they won't do anything and will increase the chance of that certain antibiotic becoming useless as the pathogens its supposed to destroy can mutate and become immune to that antibiotic...

Its just something which you'll have to sweat out.....if you get what i mean.

Bollocks you need antibiotics.  They will have No Effect At All on a viral infection - antibiotics kill bacteria not virii.  All antibiotics would do is increase your resistance to them so that when you do need them, they won't work for you.   Roll Eyes
