Video effect

Hi,
im wondering if this is just an effect or the cameras they use but in film like nwd and anti gravity the film looks allot difrent to somthing even of a high range camera is t5his an effect if so whats it called?

NO NO NO NO NO. Never use those crappy effects that are on camera. Take nicely shot raw footage and if you wanna mess with it then so it with software afterwards. At least you'll have it in it;s raw form to do what you want with it. Use the camera effects and it's like that for ever!! They're all rubbish anyhow. Do you really want a star wipe going into pixel fade out haha

lol , yeh the inbuilt software, like photography, is crap, and you can't ever revert back to normal once you film in thge effect

I think you have all missed the point here  Roll Eyes

Borat,
Big budget films are shot on higher quality mediums and with better lenses. Films like Disorder and The Collective are shot on actual film rather than digital media and that is why they have such amazing colours etc. Unfortunately 16mm film is stupidly expensive which is why most films are shot on high quality digital media. Its interesting that you used Anti Gravity as an example, as in my opinion their footage looks well bellow par.

if you're filming with a domestic type video camera, try "de-interlacing" the footage in whatever editing package you're using to give it a more filmic look.
