« on: August 28, 2006, 10:03:40 AM »

I've noticed for a while one of my bigtoes doesnt feel too smooth it like bumps up and down!.. ive not hit it or anything.. just wondering if its a mineral deficiency? and if so what? i tried googling but to no avail Cheesy. - doesnt hurt or anything just feels bumpy.. how bizarre!

*this is what its like

Koilonychia is usually caused through iron deficiency anemia.  these nails show raised ridges and are thin and concave.  Seek a physicians advice and treatment.

its zinc, 90% of the UK suffer from it.  Get some zinc supplement tablets or eat more fish.

Lol, nah, it's an OCD, it's beyond biting them, I literally have a scalpel by my keyboard to take off the skin and nails just so I can eat it. So ye sometimes it takes bits of the nail away at the root, which takes ages to grow out agaon and makes them bumpy.
