I hope not ... Rheola has the worst finish / pit area I've ever been to. The Nationals is an EVENT, not just a race at a good track.
That is unless they've built a field at the bottom, which I doubt.
the finish area at the bottom of rheola is fairly large. just needs better organising maybe expect changes. to the finish. the idea we had last year was mint. i expect this will be done for 2007.
plus as you rive up to the finish there is carpark ontop of that there is a massive coal tip used curently by mxer's 4x anyone?
I'm guessing it will be parking in the field near the layby at the bottom of the road, leaving the whole area at the bottom as the pit area. Well organised that will be mint.
However it isnt in a field in the middle of nowhere. It is situated on a main road with several cities near by and the motrway 15 minutes away. thus has the capabilities to attract alot more spectators.
Maybe we'll have to pull our finger out and help to clean the area up a bit...
The only problem with Rheola would be the same as at Combe Sydenham - the pit area by the finish (at CS this is the trade pitches) has OK atmosphere cos it's closer to the event and the PA can be heard. But in the "normal" punters' car park, you can't hear what's going on and it's all a bit pants, no race atmosphere, no excitement, no idea what's going on and what time you need to go get on the uplift etc. I am sure this could be overcome with a bloody long cable for the PA! Or something...
