loving the first line!  Wink

I think theres a scottish winter series depending how far up you are.. 'wet n wild' or something..

Have a look into that to see how you like it, and if you do theres plenty of races that will be about next year at different abilities, keep an eye n the racing section of the site..

Look for the Hamsterly Series  which isn't far for you.
Just go and do it (anywhere); I started at 45 and thoroughly enjoy it

Not many races in the winter but usually loads of uplift days and they are a great way to ride tracks and get to know a few people so keep an eye out for them.

I'm not sure the Wet and Wild is going ahead this year due to uplift issues in Scotland but there will be a midlands winter series - they are always well run and so are very popular and my advice is to book early if you want to do them.  There's a good spread of ages and abilities.

You'll be in Masters Cat which is really laid back and friendly.   FWIW I didn't start racing until I was 29, I'm now 38 and a lot balder but possibly a bit better at riding but its been a right hoot!
