I agree & disagree with this one! If people just dig up an old post in say spangly kit to say 'nice ride man' - yeah, pointless.

But lets say someone had an on-going problem and then found out more probs or solved it, so would either help others or need more help, surely it's better to reply to the older post than start a new one where you always get the obligitaroy (sp?) stupid 'i haven;t read the question' answers!!

Same with searching, if someone has a similar prob but maybe needs something clarifying, again a post on the end of an old thread is surely better than starting a new one?

Why not do a 'silly post count' then? Sod's law says I'll get the first for this one, but for persistant offenders maybe have an icon, (a donkey perhaps,) for continued postings of text typing, digging up old posts, using the word 'meh' etc.?

Actually, I wasn't having a dig at you personally, (even with your text typing there.) Agreeing with some of the comments on this topic means you seem to be part of the solution as opposed to part of the problem. I was just trying to offer a solution to an ongoing problem. Sorry if I offended you.

I Disagree, It is good when people reply to an old topic as it gives a second chance to read it when it may have been missed the first time.
