i dont think you can call this guy an idiot or say he deserved it, thats just horrible to say that just cos someone wasnt wearing a helmet they deserved to have really damaged their face, WTF

and if he was wearing the correct protective gear, he would/might be better off afterwards.
its the same as saying, 'that drink driver dosent deserve to go jail after hitting someone' guess what, no drink, no hitting of person in question [whoever that may be].

totally out of context gonch... its his own life he is endangering noone elses.
i dont know. at the end of the day the guy is pushing the limits of what he can do, which is admirable. i dont know why maybe its just more common but bmxers seem to be pushing it more so all the time and just generally riding harder.
so yeah i think its unfair to say to him "you had it comming" or "your stupid" maybe he thought the transition was slightly steeper or planned to land back wheel on the steps and over jumped it?
end of the day he crashed out big time and there could be some serious brian damage, so all props to the guy - just really unfortunate.
see where your comming from, but bikes and helmets usually / Should go hand in hand, so in the event you do crash [as we see in that harsh vid] it could reduce the amount of damage. if it be on stair sets or riding from a to b on the road.
Have to say even though he didn't land it, it is a damn impressive step jump. I reckon i coud have got into the second set of stairs but to be landing at the bottom of the second set like that is unbelievable regardless of wether he landed it or not. As i said before the only reason he crashes is that the front wheel gives up. He either has done that set of steps a million times before and so just didn't bother with a helmet or he is a complete nutter!!! seeing that has made me think twice about doing any street without a helmet. I think i'm gona invest in a piss pot as i feel like an idiot riding street in my full face so i usually just stick a beenie on.
