Just finished reading the Dirt article about the (pre?) production K9 Dh001. They really seem to rate it, and to be honest i find my self falling in with the hype machine and joining the crowd who believe that Luis and his team can do something different.

Expensive ( £2900 with a CCDB, £2700 with Bos Stoy and £2500 with a RS Vivid ) but they honestly reckon its just as good with the Vivid as it is with the CCDB as they pretty much sell you the frame only after they have adjusted everything for you.

If i had the skills, money and the time I'd buy one.

BTW, thought i'd start this thread rather then drag the old one up, but feel free to merge it eh? ( not that the mods need permission )

Also, any pictures of it? My google fu is weak and only brings up spy shots or really small low quality ones.

I really like it ! Looks a hell of a lot better then the 'research' frame with an interesting chainline...
As you say though, it costs a hell of a lot. Have the dirt crew ridden it yet ?

Well, set-up review. Still, its in depth enough for me to love it.

And wow, looks so much better then the proto frames.

Honestly, I've done a few runs on Mcknights bike and its lovely, best working suspension I've ever ridden, bit low at the front for my liking but thats easy enough to sort.

Anyway, expensive yes, but then consider £2900, includes cane creek db (with ti spring I think,) MRP and headset and I dont believe it is anymore costly that say an intense / Santa cruz...

What's the frame made from? The rear is obviously aluminium but the front looks like steel, if not is it Ti?

Front end is indeed Steel HH101.

Haven't yet found any side on pictures, i guess when its officially unveiled some will appear.

Also most the pivot blts in the production model will be hollow drilled Ti

Yes that frame is the blue pre-production model. Ti bolts will not be stock, the front end is a super stiff steel, german made and stiffer than t45 or 4130, ti spring won't be stock either but we will be able to supply them soon in nice 25lb increments. As far as the review goes, dirt are aware that we can data log any bike as a service for any rider, and still, it says Mr. Jones would buy one.

We let a few people have a play on them at the fort bill nps this weekend, mabey one or two of them might be kind enough to give their opinion.

I know Luis is obviously a fantastic suspension engineer, but not too sure about his structural engineering skills. 

I know it's fairly lowly loaded but that quite a long bit of tubing holding the idler pulley.  I hope the welds holding it on are good quality.  A small gusset between the setube and the idler tube would make me a lot happier?

Or does it penetrate right through the seat-tube of the frame?

No doubt it's a great bike but it's not exactly unbiased.

Review did not really say a lot about the ride though did it!

It was more spiel about what they can offer!!

We shall see anyway but it does look promising! Only time will tell!!!
