The swiss championship in Chur was a very special event for the downhillers. The finish line right in the city, a very old school race track of more than 6 minutes length, and a lot of media interest made it different to any other races.

Friday started with pouring rain but nice temperatures. The very long line ups at the lift made it hard to get enough training runs for the long race track, so people couldn't memorize it for the seeding run in the afternoon. Nick Beer and Emilie Siegenthaler seeded first and Robin Hagen placed second in Juniors.

Saturday was already race day and brought us sun and perfect race conditions.
Nick Beer beat won the race by 12 seconds and is the old and the new Swiss Champion and so is Emilie Siegenthaler. It is Nicks third consecutive Elite Swiss Champion title.
Robin Hagen won silver again in the junior category.
