Any updates on the 4X race series, first race is apperently a few weeks away, and it all seems very quiet.

Have you managed to source / hire a start gate for the weekend etc?

How many pre-entries have you had so far?

Cheers Paul

Anyone care to explain?
AWESOME 4X RACE TIMEZ.
its a good day and good fun it was £10 to enter which i thought was a bit expensive TBH "but mike gave all racers gate money back" and ezo were there giving out cool prise's
 "shame dmr didn't turn up!!!!"
but... they fu**ed up the scores bigtime they ended up mixing groups thus having unfair overall results and for some reason i came forth to a guy who didn't beet me all day  Cry
tbh I'm still a bit pi**ed off but proverbially would go back next month  Undecided

You really should have been ahead of me, you beat me three times! hopefully they will make the scoring a bit more fair next time round. I felt like a bit of a t**t being on the podium after only beating one person all day (and he beat me in the motos!) I gotta step my game up before next race. Hope there will be more people!

But i def did not get any money back, dont know what that was about......

That was probably a result of me pulling out of the finals, I won all my heats except for when I raced my buddy Mike Yard where I took 2nd every time. I was told twice that we were going straight to finals after the 3 motos, but then after taking second place in the "finals" we were told that it was actually a semi, and this time it would be the final. So I raced again and took second place to Mike again, then AGAIN we were told that it was actually a semi and the previous round was a quarter final. By this point I had just lost interest having raced the same 3 or 4 people quite a few times with the same results, and the dude at the start ramp didnt quite know what was happening. For some reason in the semis, there were only 3 guys in 1 round and 2 in the other, the round with 2 riders consisted of a youth and a senior!
According to the guys at sign up there were 21/22 riders in junior/senior category, 1/4 finals requires 16 riders, semi finals require 8, which are then divided into 'a' finals and 'b' finals which consist of 4 riders each. I dont quite understand where it went wrong. 20 people is a decent amount of riders for 1 category, if i remember correctly the porc nps4x round only had 20 riders in the senior category, the less people there are the more simple it is. I think the main problem was the lack of moto sheets being printed up, and running sign up til quite late.

The only reason I got third was because so many of my races were one on one, I only had one race with 4 people and one race with three.

I think the guys have learnt a lot from the first race and will step it up a bit for the next one. It's easy for us to sit here and criticise, but I'm sure they will take it on board as constructive criticism. i think for all the people that hadnt raced before it was a good chance to try it without any presue, the fact that I wasnt the only confused person made it a bit easier to deal with!

Would like to hear Jake and Joes take on things and what they have planned for round 2.....

I am very sorry.
The reason you did end up on the podium was because a rider dropped out just before the finals.
Batesy44 if you plan to enter the next race then just mention this on the notes part of the pre-entry and you can enter for free.
And i cant really understand why mike would have been telling people that.. did mike tell anyone else that they would get there money back at the end of the day?
DMR also say they are sorry for not turning up and are posting all the prizes to porc and we will be giving them away on the next race.
It was our first race.. a few things were bound to go wrong.
other than that is there anything else that people want changed? anything..

The last berm of the old track?
Lol theres something living in that. we've tried filling it in multiple times.
and the ruts will be the next thing we sort out.

Leave the ruts and holes! They're all rideable.
It's 4x not BMX.

we'll just sort the drainage out.. so that the ruts dont get any worse than they already are.
