Yeh the ruts are fine, the fact that the track is quite long and fairly rough makes it good, its more of a mountain bike track. And that hole in the berm isnt really much of a problem, you dont lose any speed by avoiding it. I reckon for the next race if theres a bigger turn out there should just be under 16s, over 16s, and vets, instead of having all the cats that the nps use. It would divide the younger riders up a bit more fairly than the mixed up junior/senior category, and would be a bit easier to manage for the organisers. It has all the ingredients for a good series, only suggestions I have other than the organising is to put down some chicken wire/rubber etc. on the start gate and start ramp for some more grip, and try emailing the race dates to dirt, they have the "hot dates" section in the back of the magazine, its some good and cheap publicity and is bound to attract more riders!

Yehhh.
The categories will be made a lot simpler for the next race. and the little money we made from the last race will be going towards making the ramp wider(hopefully) and covering it in chicken wire.
And Dirt do now have the next two dates.
Thanks for the advice Matt Smiley

no probs, the width of the start gae wasnt really a problem, just the lanes werent lined up but i guess if the ramp was wider the lanes wouldnt have to be super narrow to fit in. Also if its possible to put something on the metal part of the gate that the wheels sits up against then that would be a big help, especially for the guys who couldnt balance in the gate, chris roberts' one has a kind of mesh on it and when you put load onto it in the gate it helps hold your bike up quite a bit. Chicken wire ought to do it again if you have a way of attaching it.

like this... still perfectly useable without but may help the newbies quite a bit:

Yeah dude some nice crashes and all!  Cheesy good publicity enjoyed watching it, well impressed with those two Hollyoaks guys aswel... not being a fan of hollyoaks dont know there names.
Thought they did well considering they had never riden DH before. Wink
