January this year saw a new magazine available from Southerndownhill’s photographer Dave ‘Fastlane’ Lane focusing on the ancient yet ever growing sport, BMX racing.

We reviewed the first issue here on SDH, but to recap, it covered last years BMX races showing loads of events, a few product reviews and interviews with top riders.  Now we have entered the racing season and Fastlane has its roots settled they have produced another fantastic issue which has grown fluently from the first time round.  This new issue gives you more articles with much more reading which the first issue lacked slightly.  Some great incites on new products along with up to date race reports on the BMX scene not only in the UK, but Europe too, along with interviews from riding legends such as Dale Holmes.

The images again are all top quality, as they should be from a magazine being produced by photographers…

Stay tuned for the next issue which is aimed to be released in June at the BMX national in Peterborough, the same weekend as the world cup in Fort William, Scotland.  So look forward to seeing the guys there as well grabbing some 4x shots for the magazine as well.  That’s the great thing about this magazine, although solely a BMX magazine you can’t ignore the bigger bikes so it always has a little 4x and a touch of downhill in there somewhere.
