Fort William, the marmite track, rough on the body and bike and this weekend there were more than a few spills keeping the medics busy.
Nathan Million felt the need for some stone based dental work The weather held up all saturday and many riders put in a huge ammount of runs, a few ventured off to try the new red route. From what I heard its well worth riding providing you with around 10-15mins of riding.
After a great days riding on saturday many people were hoping that the weather would hold and for once we would get a full weekend of sunshine. I was up the hill early sunday morning ready for seeding.
Onto to racing and it was flat out the track was so dry and dusty many riders I spoke to where hoping for a little rain to increase the grip. Fort Will is famous for is big holes but the track has had very little work since the world cup and last week the SDA round so the holes were even more wheel sized than normal. Ben Cathro seeded 1st and took both the win and a pair of metallica tickets provided by monster. Amee Dix took the win in the womens elite catagory her 1st NPS win. I must mention Mannon Carpenter she not only came 1st in her catagory but her time beat ALL of the elite women 6 minutes flat, she is going to become a huge force in womens downhill if she continues at this pace.Next Stop for eggraphy is Bala but for now its good bye from a warm and midge free Fort William

The results havent been posted yet but when they have we will get them here for you to see. If not, click here and they might have been published http://www.mikrotime.com/mtb/nps2009/fortw309.html images by Scott Cartwright
